the first things you notice about Ketchikan is that it is very marine
oriented. Into the highly industrial fishing environment, cruise ships
bring in thousands of tourists for a day in port.

Immediately
after we dropped our salmon off for smoking & canning, we headed
straight for the blueberry festival. Daryl made sure our first stop
was the church's bake sale, where we sampled blueberries in all sorts
of ways.

Then
we walked around the craft and food booths until we got hungary for

Our
afternoon activity was ocean kayaking. We dressed up in silly suits
& squeezed our stuffed bodies in kayaks and paddles around the harbor
and surrounding islands.
