This view of the FLOATEL is looking down from the cabins in which we stayed. The house was barged in and floats on very large timbers. You see Jim & Jeannie's home, work shop, boat storage and the 32' Jeannie M charter boat. The house also houses the Baskets and Bullets store. At one time, before building the cabins on firm ground, the house also served as a bed and breakfast.

I'm standing on the walkway in front of the cabins. To the right you see the front of the cabins. To the left you see the covered common area where we grilled fish. Just out of sight to the left is a campfire area where I'm sure many marshmellows have been roasted & eaten.
The cabins are just great! Wood burning stoves provide the heat, but we really didn't need them much. On the left you are looking across the living area into the kitchen. On the right Daryl is pick'n crabs under Dick Fikes' supervision.
The cabins also have a loft that will sleep three. You are looking down from loft stairs into the living area. The picture on the right shows the downstairs bedroom.

We are down on the dock now, headed into the FLOATEL to enjoy a great seafood treat. The McFarland's offer a wonderful dinner with all the very freshest seafood. You see us starting the dinner with Jeannie's hors d'oeuvres.

(Yes I had to look it up.)
