The JAKES event is a kid's awareness and appreciation of outdoor sporting activities. Logan enjoyed the outing, especially the fishing, but I think he was a little young yet to fully appreciate it.
The 'bangs' were a little intimidating, but he did shoot a bb gun, once. He passed on the opportunity to shoot a .22 or a shotgun.
He also enjoyed the ride in the horse drawn wagon though I didn't get much photo proof of that.
His Dad played concentrated attention to his needs all the time.
Dad introduced him to friends.
This ranch is a beautiful well kept place. We rested beside the fishing pond, but of course Logan found the rocks a wonderful place to play.
I don't remember exactly what's going on here, but I thought it was a good picture.
After the JAKES Event, we headed over to Daryl's 'remote' which was a BBQ cook off. Before trying the food Logan wanted to go bouncing.
So, he bounced for a while.
We tasted a lot of BBQ and had a beer or two. Logan didn't have two. It was very hot that afternoon. As a matter of fact I think the heat chased Betty away. Here Daryl & Logan are re-hydrating.
That was about the end of the fun for Logan that day.
But the next day he was all too willing to help me clean the yard up a bit.
He loves strawberries!
