The float plane arrives
Flying
over the Thorn Bay area you can see the locally famous 'Swede's Place'.
Swede offers wonderful meals for primarily the local folks. We didn't
eat there this trip, but if you ever see my video from the first trip,
you might get a flavor of the experience.
Here
we are descending into Ketchikan.
This
was the departure point for the group. Though we shared the Alaskan Airlines
flight to Seattle, Bob Bass and the Smoller's had connections that took
them back to their home towns. Ira and PAtty hosted us on a lovely car
trip to Tofino, BC soon after we arrived back at their home on Bainbridge
Is. WA.
